What is the rule on sandbagging? It seems to me that there is a ton of it going on at SRCA. Is anyone else noticing this crap. It's happened(sandbagging opponent) to me the last three times I've been to your track. If I can hear it going on from the pits, surely someone at the track can hear it. I could have sworn that sandbagging was against the rules.

It is not against the rules. If it was against the rules there would be very few of us left to race. What do you mean by it's happened to you??

Do you mean you got beat by someone that was sandbagging? If so what does them sandbagging have to do with you getting beat? I've only been beaten because I haven't done my job as well as my opponent did. I'm sure I've been beaten more rounds than anyone else but I've never blamed that on anyone else other than myself.

I would assume they would be talking of Jon. As much as I hate that much sandbagging it is not against rules. Get a light and run your dial and you will win. And yes my car is capable of running faster than the 12.00 limit in sportsman when I run low gear but I don't in that class, I use high gear only and what I dial is all she's got. The whole playing with you the whole way down track does aggravate me but I also know if you run your dial and get a light you will push Jon out.

come on really . this is gonna seen strange from me but at least if your gonna gripe - bich - moan and groan at least make it a subject that NEEDS attention and makes a difference. jon can be beat. he beat me in both classes in diff cars. that's pretty dam good no matter how you do it . if it's that easy give it a try yourselves ?? you should win all the time right ? now me i'm just a bit toooooo rusty to play with that right now although i had him beat in pro and made the mistake myself . .002 isn't much at over 110 mph mike ( if your gonna gripe make it worth it ) james

Run your own race and quit worrying about the driver next to you. Anyone can be beat at any time and just like what Tyler and Mike said... hit the tree and run your number best as possible and deal with it. If you know the cars, the next time you will be prepared for whatever games they are playing with you. It's all legal, and it's all good. Keep your head up and your temper cool!

OK, so if sandbagging is legal, how does Maugans cheat? Just curious. By the way Mike, Doc Davis took me out in the quarters by .007 at 126 but he was doing at least a buck fifty at the 1,000 ft. stripe. Talk about driving! I swear there were sparks coming off his front bumper. It was worth the loss just to watch.

My comment about Jon was sarcastic. Jon frequently gets accused of cheating. As I've said many times before. It's very hard to cheat in bracket racing in my opinion. Getting accused of cheating is a compliment.

I have raced for many years and some tracks do not allow brake racing that is when they see brake lites before the finish line I dial faster than I ran and drive it across the stripe if I am on the light and the car runs the number I win 99% of the time.
