Good Morning,
My question is the cove and rail where the juniors park, are tow/big vehicles okay to "park" there and go watch or help with the big cars then back out and leave each round? I was always under the assumption that they were not suppose to park there for safety reasons.
Last night there was a white lifted white truck that kept parking there, getting out during pro then leaving when they were done racing that round (like this big truck was a golf cart for them). They kept backing very close to our pitstall and where our junior sits. I tried to tell them once that they should not be doing this but they just gave me a dirty look.
Not only did they NOT stop doing it, during the semifinals for juniors they actuall parked their truck WITH their trailer in the opening between the rail and cove. Everyone knows that's where the junior kids push there cars to and from the staging lanes. One of the juniors had to go around to the armoury parking lot and across the grass to get back to his pits because of this.
I'm not sure who I should be talking to about this, it was obvious they could have cared less that I told them not to do it.
I also saw a jeep parked there a couple of times last night.
So my question is, is this okay/allowed?
I would say no. There are a lot of juniors, families, little kids in this area and since I park right there I will tell you for the most part the junior families are very good at keeping there kids in check and safe, but regular people with kids just attending walking too and from the concession stand don't realize and there kids tend to run/ dart about in this area.
It scares me enough because the motorcycles all year long have been "cutting" through the cove to get back to their pits, not sure if this should be happening either, but what are we to do?
My hope is you might clarify to me, an everyone else the rule/guide line on this issue, here on the message board, facebook and at drivers meetings, and maybe watch closer or tell us who we should go to for help when people in white trucks don't care about anyone else but themselves.
I appreciate your time in reading and hopefully responding to this concern.
