I would like to thank all the guys that prepped the track for this weekends division race. The track was better than it has been in the past three or four years. Almost all the cars were running faster in the heat than they were in the chilly weather in April. When we had a rain delay and a oil down and a wrong attempt to clean the track(not by our crew) the track was brought back as good if not better than before. I myself never heard a sour word about the condition of the track, everyone that I talked to was very pleased and said they will be back.Very good job guys, very appreciative of all the efforts put forth by many individuals. The race was run very smooth and showed the pride in the volunteers of the SRCA Congratulations to all our local racers that did fantastic in the finals.

All I can say is the oil down deal was rediculous. If the NHRA guys cant figure out how to clean up some tranny fluid they need to stay home. I mean isn't that there job, to know how to clean and prep a track. Most of the time they were just standing around, and wanting to call the race off, I know that for a fact because I was standing right there listening to them.
I want to say great job by the SRCA guys to get the track fixed and back to racing, they did a great job.
If it was up to the NHRA they would have called it so a big THANK YOU to all the SRCA guys for fixing it up and finishing the race.
Keep up the great work guys!!

To set record you have to have a R circled on window and you will be torn down. Would you want torn down on the limited time? If this is true then why was there 8 records set last year with 2 still in the records one in Super Stock (SS/LA 10.52) and one in Comp (B/DA 6.82 @197.69) along with 2 from the Saturday (4/25/09) race this year at the division I dont recall any records being set this last weekend if there was please let me know

I wish to commend everyone for a good finish to an otherwise hastily ran event! I was glad to see everyone make it down the track safely, (It makes my job A LOT easier!) with the exception of the one spin in Comp Eliminator. Please don't grouse too much about the NHRA guys, for they are ultimately responsible for all of the drivers' safety. Cleaning up synthetic fluids, be it oil or tranny fluid, is a time consuming task at best. If just a little bit is left on the track, (and the Super Comp car left more than just a little bit) it could be absolutely disastrous for those cars who follow: I don't care what class it is. The way it is, Roger Bateman pretty much lost the AFC final to Sean O'Bannon because he spun on some stuff on the track that didn't get totally out...Could have been a lot worse! All in all, though, you guys carried out ALL of your tasks with great professionalism and in the end it all worked out. Stuff like that is why SRCA is, and should stay, the home of a Div. 5 meet! Overall, I'm proud of and extend a BIG "Thank YOU!" to ALL the staff at SRCA for your excellent work to get this race in the books. Best Regards, Bill Bills RFC Chaplain, Div. 5

And I also learned you can't set records at rain dates. So therefore why would u try? If this is true then why was there 8 records set last year with 2 still in the records one in Super Stock (SS/LA 10.52) and one in Comp (B/DA 6.82 @197.69) along with 2 from the Saturday (4/25/09) race this year at the division I dont recall any records being set this last weekend if there was please let me know
