Please keep the Craig Gustin family in your thoughts and prayers. I don't know the details of what happened to their daughter but I heard that she had to be flown to Wichita for medical treatment.

I was at the starting line getting ready to make my bye run when the paramedics were summoned to a child choking. One of the guys at the starting line said it was a quarter that they were choking on? Like Darrel and Mike specified previously hope everything is alright...

I was sitting in the Miller/Ward pits when I heard someone yelling for help. It ended up that I guess the mom was yelling for help b/c her daughter was choking on a quarter. Another guy ran and got paramedics. I talked with the paramedics afterwards and they said that the little girl had swallowed the quarter so that she was fine. If anyone hears anything new about their little girl, please post and let me know!! Last I heard from the paramedics last night was that she was going to be fine!! Let me know!

Last I heard was they looked in her stomache and it was not visible. The paramedics explained to us that the possibility wasnt great but it could have went to her lungs! She's in our families thoughts and prayers!

We are now back home. Yes, for some reason she had a quarter in her mouth and swallowed it. It was lodged, but she was breathing and CKMC intubated and did not have the equipment needed for a child. Thank you to the Dr. for knowing the limitations. She was transported by Eagle Med to Wichita. Dr. removed quarter Sunday morning and she was released today. Thank you all for the phone calls, concerns and prayers. Darrell wants to thank Eric Wilkerson, Craig and Brandon Pfanenstiel, Bill and Brett Thorton, Paul Wiens and Grandpa for helping with the car. Darrell also wants to thank Rachel Ward for the moral support and all of his fellow racers that supported him. Macey has promised only food and drink in her mouth from now on. Thank you and God Bless you all Craig and Stacey Gustin
