I thought about gettin' me one of those new XR1200s and drag racin' it but my wife thought better of it. Good to see a V twin go down the track once in awhile.

Don't have to spend that much money to race V-twins. But there is a little more to running 2 wheels instead of 4.
Should be a few of us V-twins out @ SRCA this year. We'll be out making some noise!
Cabin Fever has set in the last month. Can't wait for nicer weather and the track opening up.

Roger the cabin fever. Haven't seen the street rod or the Road King for two months. Can't even get to the shed that the race car is in.

Are you v-twin guys going to run with us in the motorcycle class? We are always happy to see more bikes on the track. I hope to see you guys in competition.

Should be 3 of us that I know, Me on the bobber, Ronnie on a Buell and a laydown tanker running a BIG Ironhead.
Trying to drag a few more out. We'll see what happens.
Never made a "race" last year. Hit ever T&T that I could. I'll try and hit a couple races this year. Only thing is Sat. races cuts into my riding. Momma and I like to hit the road on our weekends that we have off. Got a couple of long rides planned that we didn't get done last year.
I'm not out to win anything, just have a great time running down the strip. You guys have a great track. And if I could get a few more buddy's to try it, they would be hooked.
Did you see the video of that d**n Kawa that took me out at T&O? Good kid who "didn't make any mistakes." I did.
Week after that I did the same @ SRCA. They had a motor go 1/2 way down the track. They got it cleaned up and I ran that lane. Broke loose shifting into 3rd @ 75mph. Ran one more time and headed home to change shorts!
Stop by and say Hi!

I am glad to hear that you guys will be out. We would love to see more bikes on the track, and make the field alot bigger. It is a great time to get to run down the track, especially when you get more than just a couple elimination runs. Either way, it is a really good time, and we would enjoy having you guys running with us. We are there just to play and have fun as well. The motorcycle competition never gets too serious, it is always light hearted and fun, just a good chance to legally go fast on our bikes. I did see the video, that is too bad, lol, unfortunately that is the part about bracket racing that always gets me as well.

Should be 4+ this year.
Two Street bikes and a couple of dragsters. One Ironhead and a import from NJ, a hot 113 in Shovel.
Better be on your toes, Jap bikes don't have any advantage in brackets. Guess I'm gonna have to make the races this year. If I'm not in the running, I'll be pit crew for the others.
Look forward to some noise from the 2 wheel class this year. We should make some headaches for the crotchrockets.
I, personally am looking to 12.5, 110mph. That will make me happy. Need some good competetion to make it happen.
New tire, regearing, and a lot of tips from racers. I'm ready, are You?
Looking forward to be beaten by you all! But I won't be easy!

Coolest thing I've ever seen on two wheels was a pro-fuel knucklehead trippin' the 1,000 ft with the back tire.
